Day 99 ~ Old Man...Look at My Life

Roosevelt Island, NYC

"Old man take a look at my life
I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
and you can tell that's true.

Love lost, such a cost,
Give me things that don't get lost.
Like a coin that won't get tossed
Rolling home to you.

I've been first and last
Look at how the time goes past.
But I'm all alone at last.
Rolling home to you."

Day 96 ~ Shades of Gray

She said - my life has been mostly gray - interspersed with times of black and white,
describing her life in gray with a sad look in her eyes.
Aren't all our lives gray?
Gray is a complex color - I tell her.
Swirls of black and white combining to make the interesting life we all strive for.

Day 86 ~ Homage to IV

I spent hours studying the album cover art of Led Zeppelin IV - nature within a cityscape, peeling paint/wallpaper, rustic scenes...hmmm. I guess those images stuck with me...

Day 82 ~ This Town is Where It Tatters

Rolling Stones - Shattered came to mind walking past this POST NO BILLS wall on 57th Street:

"What a mess this town's
in tatters I've been shattered
My brain's been battered, splattered all over Manhattan"

Day 81 ~ Revealed

Before meeting my friends for a dusk walk, these trees revealed their truth to me in shades of bright yellow.
Whispering to me, your happiness is around the corner.
Accept, revel and be revealed...
