Week2/52 ~ Julie's Garden

I was invited to a Kentucky Derby Party this past Sunday and

I welcomed the chance to wear my blue Kentucky Derby hat...

What really struck me about this party, was Julie and her garden.

Sitting in the backyard of a perfect Park Slope home,

I marveled at Julie's green thumb.

Pinks, purples, greens, yellows oranges

created a space of beautiful karma which relaxed, and simultaneously

stimulated the senses on a cool spring dusk.

If you are looking for a landscaper, let me know - Julie is the best!

Week 1/52 ~ Paint and Oil Ooze

I was at 5 Pointz this past weekend, and in Olya fashion I was interested in the abstract. 

I walked to the end of Davis Street. Resting on a barrier,

 I noticed the oil and paint chips that

oozed through the mud of the puddles.

Loved the way the residue of spray paint, graffiti paint pooled in the mud creating a magical world.

I snapped away, and my eyes started to tear - chemical burn?

Not sure ... snapped some more and then I couldn't take it anymore.
